 It's a pvp game. Realms get destroyed. If they bring an explicitely evil religion and intentionally piss off the entire continent - they are kind of asking for it. And not a metaphore of "asking for it", but literally I can't see any other reason for such action other than inviting some extreme pvp.

So basically the portal event in Rines was:

WARNING, SPOILERS!!!

A dozen of talking elephant-sized chickens came from the portal and started their carnivorous spree. People are thinking those chickens are what the daimons actually look like, hence the confusion. They are in fact not sinister, they just suffer identity crisis due to never experiencing the goodness of proper birdfood and turning to human flesh for sustenence instead. Bad luck has it that a crafty (proper) daimon dressed as a trader shipped all birdfood out of Rines, so there is no salvation in sight.

I have't seen many portal events in my time, isn't that how they usually work?

Not sure if here is the correct place to ask, but has the morale settings for rogue units been changed in the last couple years? I seem to recall it being easier for archers to break monster/undead morale in battle. If memory serves, taking a few rounds of fire while closing to melee was usually enough for a comparatively smaller force of archers to break them.

Monster - yes. It's still pretty easy, I haven't really noticed the change (other than archer code change that made archers silly).

Undead - iirc they never flee. Never ever. Makes sense if you  think about it - wildlife would run from certain death but why on earth would undead run from anything. You played Lich Queen on EC, you tell me if she'd run from battle. :P

Certainly!

Right now he is just as mortal as normal priest, i.e. - execution. From what I hear heroes can only die from battle wounds and never infil, magic or clumsiness wounds. And since priests can't participate in battle...

Yup, priest/hero is exactly the same way mortal as a regular priest. Just more heroically.

Back on topic:

I don't think priest/unit leader class makes sense. Three reasons:

1. That would damage the priest gameplay and make the entire class not distinct enough to justify it's existence.
2. That would go against the underlying principle of class division in BM.
3. That would use up a big chunk of Devtime. Devtime that could be spent more productively.

Yup, it's a nice little tactic. Up until the moment when enemy makes a half-day move when you expect full day move and you basically lose your entire alliance's army trying to be clever one too many times...
