Beluaterra / Is BT worth it?

I'm a new guy (less than a month in-game), so please forgive me if I post wrong thing in the wrong place.

I wanted to ask if Beluaterra is worth it? I'm thinking about making my first adventurer character there. Is BT alive? How big (and how active) playahbase is there? Are interesting things happening? I read somewhere that it's completely different from other BM continents, like more events and mystery and stuff.

Why are there so few courtiers, traders and infiltrators? Are those classes for one reason or another useless? Does this alleged uselessness apply only to some continents or to all of them? Is it possible to become courtier/trader and get filthy rich? Is that playstyle, like, uhm, possible?

Also, side question - can nobles buy (and use) scrolls from adventurers? Does spellcasting and adventuring do anything for a noble?
