If nobody died, you didn't lose your best friend Jim.  And if only one or five people died, it was probably the new kid that just signed up in town.

And who takes time BURYING bodies?  Sheesh.  Just stack them up like cord wood and set fire to whole town to make certain everything burns down to a nice, sanitary, ash.

Now here IS an interesting idea.  Those units with lower cohesion wouldn't care so much about casualties because they don't like/know the others as well.  While units with high cohesion would really feel bad about losing people.

This. That is actually a really interesting idea. Everyone thinks you should lose morale even if you win or lose. I think that is just ridiculous. Then pillaging should increase your morale greatly since you are gaining a lot of wealth in a relatively short period of time.

Again, I think there should be some kind of difference between scattered and retreated. Why do we even have two different statuses when they are practically the same?

Limiting it to one per hour to the max of your empty kegs sounds reasonable. With the recent spellcasting stymie, I wonder what damage you think they can do now?

Kegs? Advies without spellcasting are pretty much just monster hunters.

I think you should only be allowed to keep one keg to be honest. But make that keg reduce your fatigue by 10 per use. Once you use it three times, it becomes empty. I can't even imagine an adventurer with a loaded cart full of kegs.

Oh, I dunno, because the ability to instantly refill *all* your kegs, when you have 60+ empty kegs, is probably abusive? And what the hell, you *just* suggested a 24-keg limit yourself?

24 kegs is fine I think. If thats the max you can have, I'd be fine with that in exchange for the addition of filling all of them at once.

I wouldn't go with jail. With our system, that is a week stuck in there.

I'd just change 4) to something like lightly wounded.

It wouldn't be too difficult to make it a one-time-per-day refill of as many kegs as you've got. I think that's the way I'd probably do it.
I'd love this. I don't even know why Vita wants to make things so tedious unnecessarily.

I actually think we should do something like this. Maybe this will be a good way to make wasteland more useful as well.

Cities should still be able to build all types to at least lv4 though. If cities can only build Lv4 SFs, it would cripple some realms.

I'd go one step further and make rurals produce better stats for cavalries (or give bonuses when you build the RC maybe. +10 to all stats or something).

But yeah generally, I think having regions outside of cities being able to upgrade RCs to lv4 would be a nice idea.

At the same time, a unit coming out of a major battle largely unscathed that already had kind of lowish morale should have a chance to gain morale, from the "Holy !@#$, we actually survived." sheer relief factor.

Or when you win a battle you had a less chance of winning. Either CS difference or number of men difference.

So do I, but I think the numbers are still a bit low right now.

I think when your unit scatters, you should be at the brink of losing your entire unit by lowering your morale close to 20.

But perhaps also....

  • Seriously limit the number of empty kegs each character can refill in a day to avoid abuse. Even as low as 2 or 3 kegs a day?
  • A message or rumour to adventurers within a close vicinity of the region (if they have enough adventuring skill to overhear the rumour) announcing the nearby festival.

24 kegs isn't much to be honest. Thats like 60 fatigue. You will run through kegs super fast.

Title: Free kegs during a festival
Summary: Make refilling kegs free while a festival is being held in the region you are in.
Details: Filling kegs will cost 0 silver for the duration of the festival
Benefits: Will help people fill kegs cheaply. Also it will make festivals more meaningful than just another tool for managing region stats
Possible Downsides or Exploits: Not sure how often you can hold festivals but region lords might try to hold festivals too often.

Yeah. That's why I created this page. I think winning battles should increase your morale unless you took heavy losses. If you've managed to retreat orderly, you should not lose as much morale compared to getting scattered. Scattered should probably lower your morale greatly, forcing you to take a turn or two leaking your wounds.
