Both Aeneas and Roberd (former elders of CoI) are currently elders in the CoS. Don't see them separating themselves from the church just yet...

I think the democracy in Fontan went extremely well. It was the greatest time (perhaps besides Taselak) I ever had to be a semi-political figure in Fontan. I say semi because my char there was a crazy warior first and foremost. Every government system has it's issues, but that's why as players you get to choose which one you like. (At least if you get enough people to support your plans)

Muwahahahaaa. Now the Ibladeshians need to make their own sect. Tear yourselves apart heathens!

I doubt that will happen anytime soon...

This went from "tada the Phoenix Empire" to "tada CE controlls the world" pretty damn quickly.

The thing is, Merlin has a lot of adversaries in Coria. As the player said, he'll have to survive the first week.

Another option is to hire a really good infil and have him stab the Duke in question. Doesn't always work, but sometimes they are wounded so long (especially once they're older) that they loose their position if I'm not mistaking.

Another option, make sure the duke gets captured in battle^^

You'd be surprised how quickly people take the words of (game generated) guard over that of respected noblemen.

Suville came up with the original plans to attack CE before Carelia I believe. The deal was that Suville would get Wayburg once Carelia had Skalk and Nida for an X amount of time if I recall correctly. Then sunddenly before any real gains were made they demanded Wayburg and CE supported them in that claim.

Biggest fault was to work with Suville in Carelia's case, but that's hindsight. If Suville had kept fighting we'd be talking differently now...

Yeah. The religion would need to be founded on AT. Which is why Selene sent a letter to the senate when she arrived asking a) where there was a vacant estate, b) if any lord would be willing to allow the Church to be founded in their lands and c) if the senate would give permission for it to be founded.

One person did offer to let her do it provided it was a Church of Ibladesh rather than a Church of Sartan alone but she's being kicked out before she has a chance to take up that offer though :(

Next stop Carelia! ;)

Haven't received any final decision though in CE, although doesn't look that good. There is any support in Carelia?

Brutal religious conflict pitting brother against brother? (I hope)

That won't happen, not for many years most likely.

It is more likely the southern conflict gets out of hand, severely.

No religious rights in extreme cases can be revoked still. Preaching is also at the mercy of the region lord though.

In that case the rest of the realm may wish to decide to get a new king?

Then let them sort that out IC. To me this sounds like a simple powerclash, we've seen dozens of those in BM but never have I seen one derail so badly on the forum...

He who gets and holds the position spoke the truth, just make sure you get the position and your story was apparently truthful. (Doesn't matter if it was, you're the one writing history after all not the "losing" guy).

In that case the Elder should be a member of the realm for an X number of days. Otherwise you'll get someone being clever, moving a elder into a realm, declare them faithful and then move back to another realm again.

Perhaps a smarter way to solve this is to have the ruler agree (or disagree) with the faithful status (not the evil status of course) of the realm?

Guys why keep whining about this on the forum? Just kill each other IC or something. Both of you have equal rights to all those things your char just needs to be stubborn and perhaps power hungry smart enough to take it and keep it. The latter is often done by convincing other people you are more right than the other guy, no matter if it is true or not. OOC has nothing to do with all of this.
