The issue is that the message the game sends you about "Corruption!" isn't OOC info, it's IC. And it is worded to make it sound like you in fact should be very suspicious of the person who received the region. Whereas the second way of buying a region has a normal revolt message and says the new lord is *Sir Blank*, leaving some room for doubt. So the Banker comparison actually doesn't even apply. He had an option to do it in such a way where he couldn't be directly linked with any certainty, but did not take it.
The thing is, there's no room for doubt. Everyone knows, and everyone is just sick and tired of being told they have to play along. Especially when the guy doing it has a habit of doing it, acts like a clown, insults everyone, and in general is an ass. Then it doesn't matter what the game says. They're going to disown you, ban you, and throw you to the wolves.

It's fun the first few times. Maybe. But after the twelfth or thirteenth yahoo waltzes into your realm, makes himself a pain in the ass, then runs off to buy your ally's region just to "start some fun", you just boot the jerk to the curb, and move on. Alternately, the guy joins, says nothing, but immediately heads off and buys the region, then sends some annoying message about corruption, yada, yada...

The problem with these features is that they get used *way* too much, especially by some families who make it a habit. It's that one-click action that you can do without any interaction with other players, but you know will cause lots of problems. They just get used too much. Everyone wants to be that unique, special snowflake whose case is treated differently, and whose tired lies everyone plays along with.

Except you're not. You're just not that special snowflake. It's the same tired crap we've seen time and time again. Probably dozens of times. And quite a few people are just tired of playing along with it, especially when you know that the guy did it just to troll your realms.

So, if you want people to play along, then stop doing it every other friggin' week. Make it a *really* rare event. That way people can look at it as a "Holy !@#$! Look what happened!" and not "omfg... again?!"

It prevents various abuses. I'm also fairly certain that the appointment page tells you the requirements. If not, file a bug report.

Feature Requests / Re: Allow Adventurers to hide

Part of the reason adventurers are visible is to help prevent the use of them as spies or scouts. Invisible adventurers would be more likely to be "weaponized". Also, it helps facilitate the interaction between them and nobles, when desired by either party.

If you allow adventurers to hide, how will you prevent their use as undetectable long range scouts?

A lot? It was twice. And when you're getting double teamed by two realms that are individually as large, or larger, than your own, everything is fair.

Besides, leaving lordships open? It's your own fault. Anything can happen.

I was wondering about that, too. I wondered if it was an "f u" from Nivemus to Vix, since Vix's claimed reason for war (the new, revised version, anyway) was that Nivemus previously waged war on Vix without actually declaring the war.

Just do the best you can without thinking about shopping it. If it doesn't match exactly, that's fine. Much more important that it can be updated as needed.

You obviously haven't seen the current state of Sirion. Or Eponllyn. Or know much at all about the current political state of the island. Or anything about the military status of the various realms. I mean, really. That statement smacks of a blatant "I looked at the diplomatic standings chart and realm list, and drew a completely unsupportable conclusion". The idea that the northern alliance block is a threat to anything is ludicrous.

Give it a bit of spit and polish, and maybe a new coat of paint.

I don't think advies find these. They mostly are handed directly to lords via a "we executed a witch in your region, and she had this" game event.

Considering the way Perdan/Vix double teamed Eponllyn from the start, it's not going to be much of a war. It's going to be like two football players high-fiving each other while taking turns beating the disabled kid in the wheelchair.

Eponllyn was already trying to surrender to Perdan's demands. We would have, too, if they hadn't refused to deal accept as part of a complete package including Vix. I admit to being surprised at this, both ic and ooc, considering prior statements about wanting to move away from large alliance blocks and permanent alliances.

So, really, you're not going to get much of a war.

And don't forget Brive.

The infrastructure thing isn't a big deal. I mean, how did anyone expect the war would go? If we ever got the chance, I fully intended to start tearing down rcs and walls, etc. It was the various pillage and marauds that have happened that caused problems.

But, yeah, spiral is an understatement.

My character previously decided that since they were using scrolls on us, that we'd return the favor. I think I've also had word of auto-firing scrolls, too.

But, also, I generally work on the assumption that my character knows how the world works, to a certain extent, and thus has some IC justification for how ooc mechanics govern their life. Various other people have put forward the same theory to different extents.

The Dwilightv map was a cut-and-paste job from sections of the other maps. It was never done in the real editor. I'm not surprised you can't get it to match exactly.

Yeah, Perdan just couldn't hold back any more. There have been random looting incidents on and off for the whole war. Apparently they couldn't hold back anymore. And then somebody from Eponllyn gave the order to loot... and that was pretty much the end of the story.
