I till recently played a kick-ass char in Urban Dead, lvl 43 if I remember currectly. He was a skilled soldier, scientist, medic and a zombie. He reclaimed several buildings in (0, y) co-ordinates and set up his own den, lights on always with two exits and the rest extremely heavily barricaded. Sadly I don't play him anymore, lack of inspiration to continue.

I can make herbal tea now. Better than poultices. So now I'm mostly just searching for thyme sprigs, willow bark, and hoping that in the process I continue to find enough food to not starve.

Hunting is cool, but it requires a lot of work to chase things down, leaving little to no time for searching.

haven't really taken anything from the stockpile... i mean.. i've taken things, only to put them right back because i can't actually use them...

otherwise, i've been dumping stuff in them.

Started a char named "Darkel" in Shintolin in your colony. Did a lot of foraging and I'm set for at least 5 days.
