I am a little bit tired of hearing that Democracy government is not SMA. It gets way too often confused with modern-day Democracy.

Wouldn't renaming it to Oligarchy or the likes lessen the confusion?

When I think of the BM Democracy, it comes to my mind the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Would it be a good example?

In spirit, I agree with you.

I'm just wondering what word to use. Oligarchy might give the impression that Republic is freer than the now called democracy.

I guess we're happy that Oligarch no longer lives. Otherwise it oculd have been the Oligarchy Oligarch.
