Questions about Armies
« Topic Start: August 21, 2011, 07:31:11 PM »
1. The sponsor of an army has paused. Will anything happen to the army?

2. If the Marshal of an army steps down, will the Vice-Marshal automatically become Marshal? If not, will the Vice-Marshal at least be able to see Command Staff settings and issue Standing Orders?

1) Sponsorship goes to the ruler, but nothing happens to the army.

2) No, Vice-Marshal stays Vice-Marshal with all the restrictions of being a Vice-Marshal.

Wait a minute. The sponsor already paused, and the armies are still under his sponsorship. Is something wrong?

Sponsorship transfers to the Ruler when the sponsor is deleted, not paused.  While paused, the army stays with the original sponsor, and there is no way to transfer it.

Well, that's a crappy rule.  :)

Tim's been trying to work up a different pausing system to fix this, but the point is that if someone goes on vacation for a week or two, it sucks to lose your army.

Well, yeah. But it also sucks if your army is just completely abandoned when you unpause. I mean, getting an OOC-agreement with the ruler to temporarily assume sponsorship shouldn't be that hard to achieve...

It's only a big deal if you had a lot of funds in the war chest. Otherwise, you can just refund it, it costs a net 30 gold to do so?
