If I decide that my character needs to die based on the path the story takes, how do I go about making this happen? Once dead, will I be able to create a new character? Or are we assuming that no PCs die here?

I think it was said somewhere that you're reincarnated with X% of your experience and some of your spells.

That was in SM2.

I've not yet decided how to handle character death in SM3.

I do not mind my character simply dying and starting from scratch...

Perhaps something like being able to keep X power level amount of spells based on a % of your experience? So if I had 500 total experience, I might be able to keep up to 250 power levels worth of spells - so I can keep 250 power level 1 spells, or 2 power level 125 spells, or any mix in between.

Maybe you can start as an apprentice of your first character?
