The rat's screaming lasted for a solid minute, before the whimpering began as it slowly dragged itself deeper into the shadows, with much of it's body rotted away to the bone.
Zuno glances around, hoping nobody saw or heard the rat, before dashing into a shadowed alley to hide until dark.
