OOC - fair enough. That does beg the question, though, what are the limits regarding the casting of spells?
He could see the target, so it's not like he's shooting at something blindly. He wasn't shape-shifted, according to the spell he's just controlling the cat's mind and using its senses, he's not actually
being the cat (he's hiding in a nearby hayloft).
