I see nothing wrong with your announcements and in this case its is a good thing to bump it as you have more for us to read. I haven't read your story yet but sounds good. (I am just about to start)

By all means, bump it  8)
I also liked the The Encounter. The Practicioner was too gruesome for me though.

I likes my horror movies and that tends to show in some of my shorter stories 8) The Rescue has the same sort of gruesome vibe to it.

Well, since at least a few people didn't seem to mind, I'll just update this anyway.

New chapter's out. As usual, it has been added to the Part Three .pdf file.

Thanks  8)

Yeah, it turned out a little over 124 000 words which is a pretty decent length for a book. We'll see if the next ones turn out as long :)

A fitting conclusion.
Would have loved for the elemental spirits to have played a bigger role.

Perhaps in future stories. They are a bit of a double edged sword after all so she'd avoid using them.

Well, it's here. The first chapter of the new long term story. The theme is probably something that won’t appeal to all since it mixes quite a few things together, but hopefully I manage to do it in an enjoyable way. The first chapter is probably enough to tell whether it’ll interest you or not. Anyway, hope you give it a chance :)

The Voyage of Elwar Soran

The second long term story to take place in the world of Balaria. Elwar is a young wizard who has a wild idea that just might change the world. Will he succeed in securing funding for it and take on the voyage?

I wasn't really expecting much to be honest but this first chapter is more intriguing than the first chapter of Guardian Spirit!

I just have to know what happens next!

(Don't forget to post when a new chapter's out so we don't have to keep checking.)

I like.

So how'd you do the maps? What software and/or processes?

I like.

Original map was hand drawn across four A4 sheets. Just scanned them and combined them.

For the new map I used GIMP to trace over the shorelines and then the Overland Map Brushes for the mountains, forests etc.

Didn't really plan it out that much as far as mountain range positions and so on go. Just went with what seemed to look interesting.
