Can't you multiply the displayed value by 7/5th without changing the underlying value?
I suppose you could. But the Statistics page would still be wrong. And anywhere else that displays Food production values, like the RealmDetails page. Really, if the effort is going to be put in place to fix this, it really needs to be done right.
- Recalculate the food values of every region to work for a 7-day harvest instead of 5
- Update the DB with these new values for every single region at once
That's what, like, one or two lines of SQL-fu and it's done? OK, maybe it needs to be run separately on each island, but those two steps seem like the easiest part of the process.
