I really wish he had chosen something else.

The "Hossenfefferia" comment in Sanguis Astroism was pretty funny, though. :P

You should make a middle-eastern setting realm called Indirikistan.

SF are not designed to form the bulk of your force, but when used in a properly balanced army they can make a significant difference. The range 5 SF in particular can be devastating.

They're also good for traveling far afield. It seems to me that SF usually don't suffer as severe morale penalties abroad: I've been marching around far outside my realm in FEI for about 2 weeks now, and still at 100% morale.

I'm not a huge fan of Special Forces.  They make great "ego" units, but they cost a HUGE pile of gold to recruit and maintain.
Yeah, what of it? What else am I supposed to do with all the gold my character makes? I pass out gold by the hundreds to anyone that asks, and still have craploads left over.

Although, I did dump my SF unit to recruit 100 R4 archers to better fight monsters.

But if we had ranged SF, I'd totally recruit the biggest unit I could get. 8)

Back when I founded Astrum, Deverka Cryfdwr, the ruler of Morek, suggested that a possible name for the new realm could be "Indirikia". He seemed to think that I should name it after my family. I respectfully declined. In fact, I didn't even go for rulership. And I didn't even name the realm, either. :P

Do we ever need ranged SF. We have more melee SF than you can shake a fist at, but not a single ranged SF recruitment center. And the worst part? Our melee SF aren't even that good...

I quite liked it, yes.  Granted, Antioch wasn't a country, but I figure setting up a puppet satrapy/province is about as close as you can get in real-world terms.

Oooo, if we're boasting, Kindara just scored these:

"The academy can now offer special forces from your region to nobles of the realm.
They will have a training of 95 %. Weapons quality is 100 % and armour quality is 85 %."

And Nifelhold just scored:
Spire Guardians   Special Forces   70   90 / 100

One has to wonder if the random functions are having some issues.
Previously of the De-Legro Family
Now of representation unknown.

Probably getting rid of the 4000 gold from the extra ruler taxes.

No, I'm still holding on to that.  I've offered to give gold to people if they want it for improving our military, but no one's asked.  I currently have . . . 8752 gold and bonds on hand.  And I don't think much of that was actual extra from the bug.

Libero just has a lot more gold than nobles.  People should come join us and get gold.

Hang onto it. I predict you'll need that -- and more -- pretty soon.

Heh.  Indeed.

And if not, that's one monster tournament I can host.
