That's the point, its a lot of fun to be CE: "Speak softly, but carry a big stick."
Well, some of our PMs had more trouble with the "speak softly" part than others. That's just a cost of doing business when you're a Republic. Eventually you'll get a PM who's an excellent campaigner and a horrible statesman. If CE were a tyranny with a dictator who had years to learn his craft and build influence networks... well people would still whine about CE, but I'm sure many more complaints would be fabricated rather than legitimate.
... Is there some "bromance" going on between Kerwin and Merlin? Do I even want to know?
