Allow ruler to see (basic) army stats

No, I'm not asking to allow the ruler to see what the general does. But it would be good if the ruler could see what any region lord in your realm can - the total CS and number of nobles in each army in the "List the armies" option.

As ruler it appears I have the "Army Commands" heading under my Command tab, but no options within in.

As King of Westmoor on EC, I see this under Command:

Army Commands
List the armies of the realm.
Army Sponsorship... - found or manage your armies.

If I click List the Armies, I get the name of our armies, the sponsor and their titles, the name and titles of the Marshal, the number of members/nobles in the army, and the combat strength of the army.

This is on stable.  Can't imagine it wouldn't be around elsewhere...

As King of Arcaea on FEI, I'm not seeing that. I get:

Things you can not do:

Move Capital - you are in the capital. Move to the new location you wish.
Tax Day - the tax day is already upcoming.
Tournament - you need to be in a region with tournament grounds to announce a tournament."

Army Commands header is there, but with no options. So it's a bug?

Its because you are a sponsor.

My character on Atamara who is an army sponsor but doesn't currently hold any position has these options:

Army Commands
List the armies of the realm.
Army Sponsorship... - found or manage your armies.

Anyone who sponsors an army gets the whole manage/found set of options.

Should the ruler not get those as well, though, even if he didn't sponsor an army before becoming ruler? It seems odd that becoming a sponsor then becoming ruler is fine, having sponsorships transfer to the ruler when the original sponsor dies/deletes is fine, but having the ruler be able to sponsor a new army is not fine.

Why? The Ruler has appointed/Elected whatever a General specifically so he doesn't NEED to monitor and manage the army.  In terms of sponsoring a new army, armies are tied to regions, specifically the region of the Lord. If your ruler isn't also a Lord, what region would be assigned as the home region? This isn't a problem with sponsorship transfers, just like its not a problem if the sponsor loses/changes their Lord position since the home region is already set.

The capital.

The Ruler has appointed/Elected whatever a General specifically so he doesn't NEED to monitor and manage the army.

As I said in the initial post, I'm not asking for the ruler to see the CS and location of every unit like the general can. But he should be able to see the number of nobles and total CS of each army. I'd say there's a hell of a lot more reason for the ruler to be able to see this than a region lord, yet every region lord can see those stats.

The ruler doesn't own the capital, the Lord of the City does. Mind you there is a similar issue with the new estate system, Dukes that aren't also a Lord somewhere can't sponsor armies either.

Also, once the Ruler is already the sponsor of at least 1 army, he can sponsor additional armies.

So the restriction on Rulers sponsoring their first army seems really silly.

I really feel that this is not necessary.  There is a general for a reason, marshals as well.
