Two things:
1) Each region is a separate polygon. When we drew them, we started with one region, then drew the one next to that, and the one next to that, etc. Tom turned on "Snap to Point" (or whatever it's called) so that you could follow previous borders exactly. However... It appears that the border between Orbeh and Mraulaxon is not identical for each region. When the region borders are painted, they do not perfectly overlap. They spread a little, and aren't quite as dark in that are. This is what happened in the eastern border of Orbeh. Follow the region name over to the right, and just where that little bulge is, the two region borders diverge a small amount. What makes it worse is...
2) The newly drawn region borders do not exactly follow the old ones. Some of the twisty bits did not get replicated entirely. At the same spot as describe above, the little bulge in the border that projects slightly into Mraulaxon got cut off. But the default base layer for the map is the Full Map, which contains the old borders that were drawn directly on the map. So you are seeing both the old borders and the new borders.
Switch the base layer from Full Map to Geography and you can see the difference.
