Also, one more note - there's nothing wrong with long titles in the Medieval sense. They weren't uncommon, particularly among high ranking nobility. For example, Henry II Plantagenet could lay claim to the following titles during his reign:
King of England, Lord of Ireland, Duke of Aquitain, Duke of Brittany, Duke of Normandy, Count of Anjou, Count of Maine
To say nothing of how things evolved over the next several hundred years. Here for example, is the full title of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, whose reign occurred at the end of the middle ages:
