Changing the allegiance of a region
« Topic Start: August 28, 2012, 06:08:31 AM »
We recently had a lord change the allegiance of his region to another realm. The region is nowhere near that other realm (its borders are 8 regions away). I don't remember it being possible to join your region to a realm that you weren't adjacent to. Has this changed?

Yeah, but before, you could only change duchy to another duchy that was next to your region.  Has this changed?  Should we be reporting this to the bugtracker?

If it's intended, maps may end up far more interesting.  Lots of wars could come from this.

The new Duchy Allegiance allows you to swear allegiance to a Duchy bordering your region OR swear allegiance to the Duchy you are currently in.

Fully intended, no bug at all.

If it ends up causing too much chaos, we may eventually reconsider, but why don't we see where it takes us first?
