A state meeting between the newly-elected Prince Regent Steel Kirt of Zonasa and King 'old as he is cranky' Galiard Scarlett went off the rails in the mountain citadel of Haul when, after several days of preparation, only a handful of Zonasans arrived, and Regent Steel was seen departing the King's audience chamber not ten minutes after he arrived.

The King was said to order a nearby collection of court poets to bend their collective abilities to locating an epithet that rhymed with 'Zonasa.'

I gotta say I favor the your first one, Velax. I can see that being set to a drunken tune in some pub the seedier parts of Masahakon.

All around amazing though. I clicked on new posts expecting news and instead got some laugh out loud rhymes instead!

In other news, the coroner's report has finally arrived, and the conclusion surprises no one: the Far East is officially dead. The coroner's report goes on to elaborate that the cause of death appears to be a combination of apathy and fear of being dog-piled. It is rumoured that the island will continue to wither and decay until nothing remains but an empty husk.

I wouldn't be so sure, Indirik.

And even if I were, the one and only time I ever saw Taylin stick her neck out for anything was to topple Toupellon (which was well done if not especially difficult). Velax took a pretty big risk with the assassin business even if Zonasa dropped that ball. I have a couple irons in the fire. What are YOU doing about it?

Well, she stuck her neck out to start a war that nearly killed OW. And to help form Toupellon. And to help form Sorraine. And start a war that nearly killed OW again. (But that one backfired...) And may be planning something to liven things up again.

The higher ups in Arcaea seem to wish to avoid war, annoyingly. This is the difference between FEI and some other islands I'm on. On EI, people just seem to go to war whenever they fancy. On FEI no one will unless you can justify it five ways from Sunday. And people are going out of their way to not give Velax a reason.

On FEI no one will unless you can justify it five ways from Sunday. And people are going out of their way to not give Velax a reason.

I'm wondering if the only way we're going to see a new war is if Arcaea starts some kind of expansive war. I mean, who the hell else can do it? Maybe Kindara or Cathay can start something with each other. Anything else is likely to be a dogpile, or otherwise stupidly one-sided.

After that, or if that fails, it may be time for Galiard to finally die of something, and his successor is probably going to be less ... delicate.

Kindara ended its federation with the Principality of Zonasa, citing a lack of confidence in Prince Regent Steel Kirt's leadership and regard for Kindara.

Moments later, Cathay announced an alliance with Kindara and declared the Threefold War on the Principality of Zonasa, citing support of their ally, Zonasan plans for the conquest of Haul, and the return of Seperoth Leonidas to Zonasa as an abrogation of the peace treaty that ended the War of the Hearth Right.

Unless Steel has something shiny and new up his sleeve this is going to go very badly for PoZ.

Isn't it one of the last remaining original realms on FEI?  I can't recall any other except them and Arcaea (I think).
