.... you can look at it directly from the info page.

The reasons changed many times over the past two weeks. First it was a pretender to the throne, then a demand for democracy/republic government, then complaints about oppression of freedom of speech/opinion, then complaints about the conduct of the war, "negotiations with Tara", the friendship with Coria, etc.

The Duke's son Zak (in infiltrator) was recently executed by CE. It kinda set him over the edge.

Essentially it comes down to a desire power, like everything in BM  ;D

The "Rieleston" name is brilliant, however. They even chose Eston's old banner.

How am I making up excuses? Those are all legitimate reasons for a secession, and they are all reasons cited by the rebelling Duke or his followers. People were asking?

Kerwin has never had a good grip on the Kingdom. The realm is run by a select few important families/players who have been there for many, many years. Including the rebelling Duke. Anyone who thought Kerwin truly ran the realm doesn't know Eston.

Obviously Merlin runs Eston.

And Perth don't let Blue Star rile you up, they're just upset that Coria destroyed their realm a long while back and is looking forward to seeing Eston die now.

Maybe they are Norland's successors, looking to reclaim their lost lands.

Now Barad Falas needs to secede and call the new realm Falaseston.

Now would be a good time for Darka to kick in that mercenary instinct and get the hell off of the burning ship.

If there was ever a time for CE to create ACTUAL hegemony on Atamara under their rule, instead of just de facto hegemony, now is the time. If they push hard, with their allies, Eston, Minas Ithil, Darka, and the Barony would all topple.

How is that fun?

Much better to toy with a weak enemy than to have no one to play with.
