How to give gold to your family?

I want to initiate an investment in my region, but I believe that can only be done once family gold exceeds 2,000.  I have extra money in my character.  How can my character give personal gold to his family, so that over time the family's wealth is able to support an investment in the region?

It appears at the bottom of the Financial Actions page. However, there is a prerequisite so that brand-new players (within a week of joining) and brand-new nobles (1 prestige) cannot send gold to their families.

Ah, I see.  I can't send "gold", I have to send a *bond*.  Since I tend not to carry around bonds, the option to send a bond to my family was not present.
