Considering I've done this myself, it isn't all that uncommon...

I wonder if there's a betting pool among the higher ups in Darka whenever a new noble appears about when they will inevitably trespass into Cantril.

I really dont know if i should cry or laugh with that Cantril issue. I guess it is cause route advisor keeps telling them thats the way to go, and they believe route advisor more than their officers

But it has not only been newbs whom have stumbled there, some older and experienced players/characters have done that mistake aswell.

I would estimate violations of border treaty stats are something like 80-2 between Darka vs. Talerium

We (Talerium) often have new nobles traipse through Darkan lands as well. I would say it is also a right of passage for them.

That reminds me, I still owe like 300 gold for the last time I wandered my unit into Axtli rather than Azzal and inadvertently crushed two defending Talerium units.
