How old is Battlemaster?

On the Announcement page Tom said:

On BM time, it is about 2 hours until the game turns 13. It was launched on January 1st, 2001 at 01:01.

Have a good New Year celebration all of you. I (Tom) will be away to celebrate now. See you all in 2013.

If BM was launched 1/1/2001, wouldn't that make it 12, rather than 13?
