Scout report change
« Topic Start: May 13, 2013, 05:46:01 AM »
Has something been changed with the scout reports? The sections aren't divided into tabs anymore. Possibly related somehow - I can't mark messages anymore, or unmarked already marked ones.

Yes, the RegionDetails script (which also generates scout reports) was converted to Doctrine. This should not have changed any functionality save for adding the post-rebalance food/gold numbers.

I do not experience this behaviour. What browser are you using?

That is only related in that they both require Javascript.

Have you, perchance, disabled Javascript in your browser?

I'm using Safari on my iPad, but using the non-mobile version of the site. I'm also having the same things happening in Chrome on my PC.

No, I haven't disabled Javascript.

I also can't see the Realm Stats anymore. They just come up as a blank space on both Safari on my iPad and Chrome on my PC.

I'm using that version as well. This is what scout reports look like to me in Safari and Chrome:

All of it is on one page.

I specifically went and checked to see if JavaScript was enabled in Chrome after you asked, and it was.

I have the same issue with region reports and marking messages. Using Firefox 20.0.1 and I checked that Javascript is enabled.

Hm. I cannot currently reproduce this.

I am supposed to be getting an iPad within the next couple of months, and when that happens, I should be able to troubleshoot issues like this.

It's happening on PC as well, though. Chrome and Firefox.

I am not seeing this on Chrome for the PC.

Maybe try a hard refresh (Ctrl-F5) as javascript caching is a little more pervasive in most browsers than page content caching.

I tried that, it didn't work.

Can you check the javascript error console to see if anything shows up there?

I get the following when I open a scout report:

Quote
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected end of input g=js:316
Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined ShowScribeNote.php:18
Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined

Although I get this on every other BM page:

Quote
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected end of input g=js:316
Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined

Another issue is that I can no longer order the Army or Character page. They just come up as black (with the white text) and no bars along the top to click to order the lists.

The Dynamic map no longer works, either.
