I believe he quit due to personal issues. His last few IC messages were pretty weird and did not fit his usual style. He gave up his Magistrate position on the forums too.
There might be some OOC situation that we don't know about. I'd appreciate it if you do not exploit this to win Internet arguments. 
Yeah it's only you who believes that. It seems though that he ragequit because someone arrested his advy.
