Battle reports
« Topic Start: April 27, 2011, 03:38:24 AM »
Does anyone know what determines how battle reports are organised? By that I mean the order that units are listed in on the Close Combat and Casualties list? It doesn't appear to be alphabetically, by unit number, by hits scored/taken, by realm, by army or by anything else I can see.

Randomly.
The above is accurate 25% of the time, truthful 50% of the time, and facetious 100% of the time.

Oh. Is there a reason for that? Organising them by unit number would make it much easier to find specific units.

Use ctrl + f type in the unit number you are looking for.

Well, yes. But that gets annoying when you're looking for multiple units over several turns. I think it'd be a trivial coding matter to organise them by unit number.

The reason it is random is because there is randomness in battle.  I do agree that they should be sorted by unit number to make things easier to see while retaining the randomness.
