What good is a shipyard?
« Topic Start: July 22, 2013, 03:10:45 AM »
Shipyards seem to be a waste. From my experience, nobody has ever used warships during wartime. Is this something that will be added later? I understand the importance of harbors, but not shipyards. Could someone let me know their opinion?

Aurvandil landed a very sizable army in Terran and sacked their capital.

Shipyards' navies aren't fully in use, so building them now would only be preparing for when they are and having a head start on other regions/duchies/realms. They will likely be used for some form of limited scouting of those landing upon a region from a sea region. Until then, its just a fun bragging rights game: 'Hey, my lord has 24 navies at her disposal!'.

Not yet implemented, but high on The List.

They will allow scouting of sea regions in one way or another.

Harbors: Already work.

Shipyards, no.

Or is it the other way around.... Anyway, nothing has changed.

Interesting. A Pirate's Life for me soon, yoo hoo!

On another note, we will receive update on how the shipyard, harbor going to work, right? Landing straight at capital or next region to capital? Maybe we can have many Pirates ships sailing the sea... I am keeping my fingers crossed for it that we have reached Shipping Age :D
