They have an umbrella guild to encompass the whole scheme. Then each "great house" starts their own private guild for their members. There is some scheme about claiming regions for individual houses. Kind of like each region can only belong to one realm, it can only belong to one house. It's kind of like building a parallel structure to realms. In order to become a great house you have to get 5 guild members to swear fealty to you or something like that. It is an interesting concept, but i think that the guild requirements are pretty much going to make this completely unsupportable in the long term. Also, Bowies name on it is going to deter quote a few people. His reputation as a plotter and troublemaker may be too much for this to endure.
