Use of summon scrolls
« Topic Start: December 02, 2013, 10:58:18 AM »
Has there still not been a good pile of scrolls used after each other?
There must be plenty around.

I miss the invasions, but was very excited about the new setting we have now that could still trigger something like an invasion.
Yet i still have to see it coming.

What are the numbers of scrolls on hand now?
I understand that their effectiveness suppose to increase after every scroll used within a certain time frame and specific region(after each other in same region).
What would happen if ~33% of the scrolls at hand would  be used at once in a single region?

We used 6-7 in the Melhed war, good for maybe 2k rogues. So you'll need a helluvalot of them if you want to simulate an invasion... :)

6-7 is nothing, given that there are almost 300 scrolls on the island...

Well IF they are distributed evenly among the realms that means each realm only has 30.
If I had ton of them I would set a ton of them off in the rogue lands where Enweil used to be and turn Enweil into a monster hunting ground
My character alone has 6 scrolls and probably my realm mates too have some.
Many characters have been buying and piling scrolls so if 2-3 allied realms with a good stockpile uses them at once it may spawn a strong horde. Just a possibility.

I anticipated the total number to be more for such a long accumulation period.
Apparently it is not enough yet, or they are not powerful enough (as they seem to be barley used in the last what is it, two years since implemented?)

Perhaps an extra mechanism can be build in, the amount of scrolls appearing through 'Witch hunts' or other ways could be based on the amount of scrolls used recently.
So if I use 30 scrolls at once, almost no new scrolls are found for a while(month, or two?).
If only one scroll is used, it wouldn't have much effect.

In case almost no scrolls are used through out a whole year, scroll spawn rates should have gone up.

It will deal with those sissies pilling up scrolls for there safety.
Because if they do, enough will pop up to make it more easier for a small malicious group to be as effective as a whole realm in that half a year without scrolls being used.

If it is simple to add, i believe it has allot of potential.
Yes it might put things out of balance for a while, but with plenty of nasty good old hateful warfare, it will find its self a new balance.
Just like Belutaerra was always intended to be, a semi reset island.

Well, then you were "unlucky" - my character got much larger effect.
Possibly the effect is related to the original invisible rogue population in the region - as some sort of multiplicator.

And spellcasting skill, no doubt.

if you use scrolls, does it say which character did it?

As far as I know, the character name is not revealed.

If you are talking about Jaeger, we used more than 6-7 scrolls and got more than 4k in two regions. We gotta work on your memory Lorgan :P

Make sure that you aren't travelling while you try to use a scroll.
