Erasmus with his own hands had formed an eye patch from skin of the Beasts. Skin from beasts, being far tougher than leather, required intricate work to scribe and carve out the image of an eye on the outer face. The recess was then filled with molten silver to form its clear image. In place over Usul's empty eye socket, it offered an air of mysterious intimidation; the illusion that never ceased its following gaze upon its onlookers.
Usul requested the attention of Erasmus to study the healing of the wound.
Upon lifting the patch he reported "M'lord, it is but one full day and the wound is already fully healed..."
