Tiredness for unit
« Topic Start: May 17, 2011, 10:47:50 PM »
Very simple.Difrent activities your soldiers perform tires them and reduces their performence in time. Also,if you tire your soldiers too often they might desert you despite being paid regularly.
Actions like marching, fighting, looting, civil work, hunting down enemies, police work tires them.
So they would have less CS in battle because they are tired. When looting  tired soldiers do less damage to a region and even risk getting killed or injured by the local peasents.Same when hunting enemies-higher chances of death and failure to capture them.
A tired unit takes a lot more hours to reach is destination when marching.
A tired unit doing police work gives infiltrators the advantage.
When your troops are idle-doing nothing-they will recover some of their tiredness each turn. Not as eficient as resting though.

Sounds very un-fun. More micromanagement of your troops, slowing down the pace of the game, and making invading an enemy realm even more difficult than it already is.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Realisticly boring. :)

Besides, getting 'tired' is their job, their soldiers!
Men who can't take a healthy march or a crispy battle shouldn't have made it past the training in the RC's!

Doesn't morale already do a lot of those things? Lower CS, unit abandoning if you push them too much doing civil work etc.

Well if this gets implemented you will never be able to attack or aid your allies with considerable force :( You will lose too much CS before you even get to the battlefield.

I assuming the logic behind 8 hour per turn is so that you receive 16 in a day which leaves 8 for sleeping which is a standard amount. So there is no force march or anything as your troops are always sleeping 8 hours a day which should recover them from being tired. If we had 12 hours a turn then there would need to be something like tiredness for balance and realistic issues.

Yeah, I say this is already covered by the hours we currently have, and the morale of the unit.

Absolutely.

Morale and equipment damage combined make it extremely hard to act outside of your own borders, and often force you to stay for but a single fight, and then head back home even if you won. It's bad enough as it is.

Already shows up in morale loss if you use heavy training too often.
