First death in battle?

Reapers (74) take 456 hits (36 in close combat, 420 from archer fire) (reduced due to fortifications), which cause 10 casualties, making the unit retreat from the battlefield.
Anton Chamberlain, Knight of Saenna has been killed by Crimson Swordsmen (11).
Is this the first death in battle we've had on the island? I know we've had several duel deaths. He was a hero, so not a victim of universal mortality yet.

Yeah. I am not even sure this universal mortality will kick in during this incarnation of WI lol

It was an awesome battle nonetheless.

Hard to tell. Maybe when people start getting over, and are less resistant to wounding.

Also, this war is turning out to be lasting much longer than I thought, now that Ikalak isn't just sitting around waiting for the hammer to drop.

I'd wager we'll still be at it in 2016, although people will have declared the war island to be over three or four times before that.
After all it's a roleplaying game.

That depends. If Anaris gets his WIP in before 2016, a lot will change.

It's already over, this first death in battle proves that Taselak is supreme.

Last Chancers (14) take 415 hits (334 in close combat, 81 from archer fire), which cause 11 casualties, making the unit retreat from the battlefield. One Sandalak banner is lost.
Godwyn Winter-Born, Knight of Saenna has been killed by Peasant Militia (7).
Second death in battle? The Taselakian peasants seem to have more blood thirst than the Sandalakian ones.
