That's not what is disputed, as it is quite common that those are two variations of the same concept of Judeo-Christian d(a)emons. However, daimon might or might not be a different case, and it isn't just a spelling choice. In BM, both daimon and daemon are used, seemingly as distinct entities. However, it could be that the distinctions are not as significant as one might think. Who knows. What is a d(a)emon anyway? Pop culture has distorted them a lot from their origins. Furthermore, are we talking about the most commonly known Western Judeo-Christian versions, or the East Asian versions, or African, or Native American, or the many cultures of the globe, most, if not all, of which had some concept of "d(a)emons"? And finally, how do those relate, if at all, to daimons?
