Does the fame point for a hero dying on other continents apply to normal characters on this continent?

Do you mean if you get fame for dying on the WI as you would on the other islands? I would assume so. I got a fame point for making General there.

I doubt it. You get fame for being a hero, not for being an average Joe. When everyone can die, dying is nothing special.

Although, you probably get the fame for non-hero death.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

I've recently got a fame point. No idea where. Don't remember doing anything significant :o

Wish it would actually tell me how I got some of my fame points.

7 months into the war island and exactly two people have died. And I think both were heroes. Non-hero death seems even more rare :P

I think the fame for non-hero death just considers whether your character died, rather than what killed him. that is of course not including "retired" nobles.

There have been only 3 combat deaths so far, two from Sandalak and one from Taselak.
Quote
Last Chancers (14) take 415 hits (334 in close combat, 81 from archer fire), which cause 11 casualties, making the unit retreat from the battlefield. One Sandalak banner is lost.
Godwyn Winter-Born, Knight of Saenna has been killed by Peasant Militia (7).
Reapers (74) take 456 hits (36 in close combat, 420 from archer fire) (reduced due to fortifications), which cause 10 casualties, making the unit retreat from the battlefield.
Anton Chamberlain, Knight of Saenna has been killed by Crimson Swordsmen (11).
Rex Umbra, Knight of Toren Stronghold has been killed by Kings Guard (33)
Ikalak has yet to contribute to the pot.
