After spending over 14,000 gold, I have built 5 decent RCs

Selisian Arbalests   Special Forces   80   80-5 / 70
Selisian Rangers   Archers   50   65-4 / 80
Selisian Armoured Guards   Infantry   65   65 / 75
Selisian Ember Guards   Infantry   45   80 / 65
Selisian Black Guards   Mixed Infantry   60   90-3 / 75

Not sure how much more gold I will spend but it seems it is getting pretty damn hard to build RCs after 5... Now I need to save up for 2 weeks to try once.

I don't really like your archers. I do like the MI and SF a lot though. ;)

This. I think the archers would be better off with more equipment and equal/less armour?
I'm really interested in that MI though, it looks... elite? Can we start saying that for mixed infantry now?  :)

MI is actually better than you think. :3

You people are underestimating my archers!

Wish it was the other way around though. 80/65 not 65/80...

I'd rather 75/50 than 65/80. With archers, I want firepower. The moment their armor really matters, you probably already lost the battle anyways.

That's not true. I've seen a few battles that were determined by one side's archers getting wiped out too fast, allowing the other side to start firing into combat much quicker. Armor is *always* useful.

Yes it can be very handy to win Archer Duels

As Luria probably just found out to their chagrin. Well, that and don't mess with Grandmistress Eviera's archer spam of doom. :3

Enweil at one point only had archers. They did have some good archer centers though. With some luck they even managed to repel Rio's infantry+SF army. Good days.

Armor is sometimes useful. Weapons are always useful.

Both play into CS, which has various effects at all times. Armor is useful for more things other then stopping a blow.

Armor and weapon are interchangeable I believe for now. Which Tim will change in time.

Weeeelll...it's not quite that bad. But there are places in the code where, effectively, increasing your armour increases your damage.

I don't think there are any places where increasing your weapons makes you harder to hit, but I wouldn't be willing to swear to it.
