Yes, that part is still very primitive. I too think parties should "shop around" more.

To give everyone something more interesting to do, I've added 400 gold to every shop. Go and buy things. :-)


also:

Mighty Heroes have failed the quest "The Labyrinth".
Elven Rangers have failed the quest "Wolves in the Forest".
The nerix have failed the quest "The Labyrinth".
The Filthy Frigate Pirates have failed the quest "The Labyrinth".
Northmen is done shopping in The De-Legro Family Emporium and continues their spending spree in Penchant's Emporium of Battle and More.
The tolim finished shopping in Tom's Shop and have gone questing.
Academy Expedition Group have completed the quest "Wolves in the Forest" successfully.
Reformed Bandits have arrived in town.
The ivory elephants is done shopping in Solid Simon's World O'Stuff and continues their spending spree in Tom's Shop.
The Black Bandana Rovers finished shopping in Solid Simon's World O'Stuff and have gone questing.

Database crash resulted in total loss of data today.

Since Shopkeeper is still in very early alpha development, I don't really have a database backup, I'm afraid. I'm checking if I can restore from the automated backup or not.

Ok, here's the status:

I have access to the old database, but it's a little bit of hell to recover it.

I'm thinking about not recovering it, and instead pausing the test for a week, fixing a couple things, and then starting again. What you guys think?

Whatever is most beneficial for game development really. No point you spending hours recovering bits of it doesn't actually progress things (though it will be a shame to lose everything I had gained, that's what to expect in alpha :) )

There is still hope, all their current shop can sell them is 3 mana potions.

They move out every turn though so you probably won't be able to sell them any.
