As the previous lord passed me the ownership of the region he also made me an elder of a secret society existing in that region.
Afterwards I checked that society had no other members sans me and no other guildhouses, so it was sort of pointless. So I decided to leave the society and raze the guildhouse.
But after I left the guild I realized I can no longer see the guildhouse, hence can not raze it.
What happens to secret societies with no members? Do they just hang on there hidden and useless forever? Do I still have to pay rent for the hidden guildhouse as a region lord?

Indirik

Fees are paid from the ss treasury. When the treasury is empty it will fall apart and disappear.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Indirik

In addition, region owners do NOT pay for the maintenance on guild, safehouses, out temples in their region. That is paid by the guild or religion.

Ah so Loathin has a few safeboxes too? :P

Vita`

When a secret society has no members left, it will collapse. When a guild or temple has no members left, they will collapse if no one joins within 2 weeks.

Also, not only do you not pay rent/maintenance costs, you tax the local guild and temple treasuries at half your regional tax rate. Not secret societies, being secretive and all.

Empty though. :(

A bit off-topic, but what do you do with the armies that are left behind when the sponsors leaves?
I thought the new lord of the region automatically becomes a new sponsor, but apparently this is not the case.

If I recall, the sponsor part can't be empty. Goes to the ruler, I think.

Constantine

It didn't. Reported as a bug.
