"But Sir, we have just cleared your tent, for the dozenth time now. There is no rat or mice here, we can assure you."
Thesseus captain was balancing rather uncomfortable from one foot to the other, anxiously waiting for his master to comply.
"Nonsense! One just past here, minutes ago! They where in my bed this morning, gathering and plotting against me i tell you!"
Thesseus threateningly held his right finger up, reminding the captain of his military school teacher.
Over the past weeks, Thesseus has gotten rather bold and grew a wild and full beard, he reeked as he hadn't washed as long as he hadnt shaved.
"Search the tent again!"
He screamed with his of insomania blackend eyes bulging out of his skull.
"Si... Sir, our equipment sir... needs attention, its falling apart!"
"An order is an order Captain!!!"
"Sir... not even a tenth of us even has weaponry, the locals here make fun of our equipment, there is no use in converting their loyalties if they dont take us serious!"
"OUT! Your fired! Off with your head!! I will search for the rats my self! You useless piece of dung you!"
Thesseus violently throws his captain out, swing his sword above his head a few rounds, before going back inside.
"Ah! there you are you little piece of mischieve!"
Thesseus smiled as if relieved before swinging his whole body on the ground in the attempt to catch something.
"There! i finally got you you little bastard!"
Thesseus was on his knees holding something aparently imaginary with both his hands as if it was a golden crown or a royal diamond.
"This is your lucky day sir!"
Thesseus almost fell on his back as he violently looked around for the source of this voice.
The voice of what appears to be a market salesmen, bright and persuasive.
"Ha HA! Where are you looking at? Where else do you think i am?!"
Slowly Thesseus opened his hands in disbelieve.
It was the rat that was talking to him.
"Y... You?"
"Yes me!"
The rat danced in the palm of his hand.
"I come to bring you good news! you want to sleep right?"
Thesseus nodded almost hypontized.
"Sleep is there a plenty for you Sir! it is your lucky day!"
Thesseus shakes the rat in his hands, perhaps to see if it was real, or maybe to make it talk faster.
"Talk quick you rat! sleep you have got ey?"
"Yes sleep a plenty for you Sir! just follow my lead!"
In a single motion, the rat jumped up against the ceiling of his field tent, landing somewhere on the sheets of his bed, disapearing as he came.
"Blasted creature, I wont let you get away again you bastard!"
Thesseus screaming was overherd by his men, who shook their heads in worries.
They lacked basic equipment as everything had worn down, and know that it wouldnt be long before the whole show repeated its self again, waiting to get summoned back in that goat aweful tent to endlessly look for some imaginary animal pesting their Lords mind...

It was last seen around my camp.
It's a magical rat that dances and talks, with manners too.
