Visiting West Coast USA

(1/2) > >>

Wimpie:
Hi all.

I'm planning to go and check out the West Coast of USA (I myself am from Europe), but I was thinking which places are a *MUST SEE* kind of thing.

The area we're looking in streches from San Fransisco, LA, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, national parks around that,...

The plan is to have a road trip for like 2 weeks at most.

Any tips and tricks are most welcome!

Wait... you are driving? Damn son. Have fun with that XD

This. Also, LA is overrated, highly suggest avoiding it. You'll spend two weeks just in the traffic, let alone actually seeing anything of note.

Zakilevo:
Since you are driving, you might want to limit the number of places you want to visit. Try to pick places that are close together. Otherwise you will only remember driving around XD. If you like driving, you will be fine but if you are not, it won't be a fun trip.

Victor C:
Lock your car when you leave it. Not all Americans are friendly.

Prepare your own music. Radio stations... "Vary" with plenty of commercials and a lot of people who don't know much.

If you speak to someone and you have an accent, prepare to answer a lot of dumb questions. Questions where you'd probably be like, "Did this person even go to school?!"

Stay out of political discussion at all costs, especially now, where everyone is ready to murder each other.

Beware road rage.
