One can rest for 1-4 hours I believe, in the travel tab. Or do a number of other things when creative enough. I remember back when I led raiding parties against Hetland, we used all kinds of shenanigans to stay between two regions for very long periods of time, on occasion. Drove them mad, it was very satisfying.
Feels like the player base changed, though, can't rely on people as much to do anything remotely complex anymore. Missed turns seem way more common.
