Defending infantry moving off the walls
« Topic Start: August 05, 2017, 07:14:48 PM »
In a recent battle some of the infantry units on the defending side just kept walking when they got to the wall, and obviously got hit much harder than they otherwise would have.

They were militia units, so I wouldn't think it was a settings issue.

Any thoughts / guidance? Never seen that happen before.

Specific battle/date? It is settings-related, most likely.

Did you set your men to aggressive?

Militia are reset to defensive when they're setup as militia.

It looks like if your infantry within the walls greatly outnumbers the infantry outside the walls, they will venture out of the walls to attack the enemy.

Oh woops didn't know they were militias. If enemies attacked with only ranged, they also leave.

If enemies attacked with only ranged, they also leave.
Which is because the infantry inside the wall outnumber the enemy infantry outside the wall and deem it worth the risk, to the chagrin of their commander I'm sure.

And Zakky/Koitalike family raises a good point on non-militia leaving walls if they're set to aggressive or murderous.
