Capturement
« Topic Start: December 07, 2017, 06:47:19 AM »
Are there multipe checks for getting caught while landing? As the letter which I got said that I landed safely.

Your ship has arrived at the coast of Heen and is putting you ashore.
Evading several patrols, you manage to leave the shore unnoticed.
Getting ashore takes most of your time, even though much of it is wasted in waiting.

I am not totally sure what is the issue here?

If you land in a heavyly fortified region, I bet there's chance of getting captured, yeah.

Looks like you did land safely. Currently the code is broken somewhat. Unless there are non-militia units defending the region, you should be fine. Militias are not counted as defenders at the moment.

A large part of Angmar mobile forces is in Heen.

2 out of 3 Priests got caught, nothing unusual, I guess.

Which is something I have investigated and an open question towards Delvin is pending.

I think we will need more information than this to understand your issue.

I presume you were captured? Do you have other messages indicating when that happened?

If your character is a priest in a foreign realm, then he can be captured by a noble who chooses to arrest him, at any time during the turn.

Perhaps I can help with messages from the “other” side:

Today morning we received in Heen this messages:

New Prisoner   (8 hours, 39 minutes ago)
Patrols in Heen have captured the enemy priest Rania Eastersand JeVondair, Grandmistress, Grand Chancellor of Obia'Syela, Royal of Obia'Syela, Duchess of Amen Keffa, Margravine of Rines, Priestess of Heralds of Obeah . She is now on her way into your dungeons.

New Prisoner   (8 hours, 39 minutes ago)
Patrols in Heen have captured the enemy priest Kiki Raven, Countess of Melegra, Priestess of Heralds of Obeah . She is now on her way into your dungeons.

Obviously the two landed in Heen and immediately got captured.
We have in Heen quite some militia as well as mobile troops stationary.

For me it is like the situation where you travel between two enemy regions and you get detected when arriving and then get captured automatically.

Edit: A third Priest landed as well and did not get captured.
He was arrested later by my men “manually” as Anaris described.
Thus, I see no bug, since 1 made it.
It might be indeed the troop presence as Wimpie says.

That makes sense.

When you land, you first have to pass the landing check to see if your boat is intercepted and you're just smashed or grabbed right then and there.

Then you have to see if you can hang around in the region, just like anyone who's there unwelcome.

You passed the first check, but not the second.

It seems I simply got confused about 1st check and 2nd check, as it says that I was able to evade enemy patrols, just for the next report to say that I was caught by one of the enemy patrols.
