Kyryn had already bowed in acknowledgement of the Dragon King's dismissal was already in the process of turning to leave them to their privacy, but jerked to a halt when Kyomi declared...no...demanded he should stay. Of course, that was not the reason for his arrested motion. The daimoness hadn't released his hand, and despite being triple, if not quadruped her current size, the diminutive daimoness hadn't moved at all. He might have had better luck tugging the hand of a marble statue, and he was sure his less-than-graceful recovery might have been humorous from any perspective other than that of one Kyryn Kye JeVondair.

While this was far from Kyryn's first time in the palace, it was his first time meeting Pawl Paxwax. He'd been surprised when the monarch rose from his throne and crossed the distance to greet them directly as it was something of a breech of protocol, but  all Kyryn could do was meet his lieges gaze and shrug. Dictating to Kings and Daimons may not have been above his pedigree, but it was far, far above his pay range, and with that simple human gesture he informed the King that he was welcome to argue with the daimoness if he dared. Kyryn certainly wasn't about to.

"I'd be delighted" he said deferentially, knowing now that the only way out was through.

The servants Kyryn had noted earlier had already responded to the Dragon King's intent, arranging the feast behind his back between the trio and the throne. Delights beyond what Kyryn could count at a glance festooned the table. Swan, duck, goose, chicken, lobster tails, fresh salmon, shellfish, Wyvern eggs arranged in a clutch beneath the wings of a deep-fried mother wyvern, an entire roast pig, and was that a turduckentapus? Then there proverbial mountain of cakes curiously juxtaposed next to fruits and vegetables of every description, though the infamous bloodmoon fruit was absent. or rather, was present only in wine form. Without orders, Kyryn's stomach growled. He hadn't had time to eat since Paisly, and that was more hours passed then he cared to recall. And this...feast was beyond anything he could afford as a meager knight of the realm.

Kyryn hadn't ended up here by his own choice, but it wasn't in his nature to pass up a good meal, no matter the circumstances.

"After you, Your Majesty, Lady Kyomi." he deferred.
