Perhaps the "political map" could become the old "dynamic map"? The advanced features of the new map are cool, but the old one is neat and simple.

Can you even access region pages with the new one? That's all I ever used it for, and I can't seem to click on regions anymore.

Btw, scout reports now centre on your region instead of the region that was scouted...

I would also like to see the old map still appear. Perhaps as a "simple" map, whilst the current can remain as the dynamic one.

Not yet, but this functionality is planned.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Cant use new map on the phone :(

Details, please.

While the OpenLayers library is a little heavy, it definitely works on mobile devices.

Does anyone ever use the static political map, anyways? Dynamic was basically the same, except you could click for more details, and often the political one wouldn't update often enough. I would definately rather keep the old dynamic map than the old political map, though mind you I guess it can be useful for archival purposes.

Iphone, map wont load at times, slow and cumbersome to zoom map. I like the old map to quickly see nations . New map buttons way to small for phone and it loads all jumbled.

It works just fine on my iPad. However, I have not yet added touch recognition. OpenLayers supports touch, theoretically, but I'm not yet using it.

The political map is just for seeing other continents. :)

Tom

It was easier to add than I thought. Try it now, touch navigation via drag and pinch now works on my iPad as well as my iPhone.

I use it for that quite a bit.

Also if you're downloading the map image for records-keeping.

Its working a bit better, I am still getting used to it and preferred the fast load up of the original. Don't get me wrong I love this map on my laptop, it's just a bit pinched on the iphone.

I agree, bring back the old dynamic map.

I second this motion. Use the old dynamic map for the political map. That way we have an option for our mobile devices that is up-to-date and loads quickly.
