Well, we'll see. My instinct tells me that King Michael is intentionally dragging things out, as he has been making excuses continuously for why he can't come to Wudenkin since the deadline passed. Some of them are reasonable, but others have not been. I naturally assume that this is because ultimately he doesn't plan to give it back at all. Then again, maybe he's just trying to squeeze a little extra gold out of it before he's forced to return it. Either way he's not really acting in good faith, which leads me to question his intentions.

The duke could switch allegiance, and step down.

Easiest thing in the world to do.

They just don't want to respect their promise. Huge surprise that is.

If I was a Duke I would never do that, it just seems like something that goes against the concept of oaths. Better to step down and let the ruler hand over the region if the Duke is even okay with giving up his holding.

I don't see it that way. He is a vassal of the crown, fulfilling his sovereign's promise to hand over the city he administers.

He is basically giving up one oath, swearing another only to give that one up and return to something like his old oath. That isn't simply handing over a city.

More to the point, I don't actually want a Turner in my realm for any length of time, no matter how brief. The King of OG naturally appointed another one of his characters as Duke.

Don't you worry.  No Grehkian would ever want to be considered a Fronenite for even a moment.

Well, if you don't mind you Dwi chars getting key info of the invasion before your BT char does, then sure, you can join Riombara or Sint. I heard they are good for those kinds of things.

Oddly enough, my Dwilight character has seen Overlords letter. My BT character, the general of Sint, has not. I haven't checked my messages in the past 9 or soo hours though...

Ask them to resign or protest them out of office if they aren't sharing critical information with the realm.

In a time of war? That's exactly what Overlord wants us to to - divide and conquer.

Actually... he's doing a good enough job of that already.

We don't know in game that they're not sharing the information though...

Mordred is telling Rio more than its ruler is  8)

What is Freedom? - ye can tell; That which slavery is, too well; For its very name has grown; To an echo of your own

T'is to work and have such pay; As just keeps life from day to day; In your limbs, as in a cell; For the tyrants' use to dwell

@Woelfy- my character on a normal oath pulls in 150 gold per tax in Nothoi, sometimes more. And as of late, we've been having a huge battle every few days.
