I cannot seem to find a way to make my personal information public.
Under the "edit data" option there is a "public info?" slot where the only option is yes - however my info still result to be private.

Is the option somewhere else? I cannot find it under "options"
sorry for the super-newbie question.

That should be the right option. I think there is a bug report open about this. If not, please open one up.

You've actually found a bug in the Edit Data page.

Thanks for picking up on that.  I've fixed this, and the fix should go live some time within the next few days, when Tom next updates.

However, if I'm reading the code right, it looks like you ought to be able to make your information public simply by going to the Edit Data page and clicking "Update Data", since the "yes" option would be automatically selected.

If that does not work, then please wait until the revision number under the username & password boxes on the login page is at least 6127, and try again.

Have you tried selecting "no" and update, then going to Yes and update again?
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Adding notes to the bug on the bugtracker is the best way to resolve bugs. :)
The above is accurate 25% of the time, truthful 50% of the time, and facetious 100% of the time.

note added and problem apparently solved with the next revision, thanks!
