Ohnar West has declared for the Alliance of the Free People and marches to war against the Empire. Every realm in the Far East is now committed.

In the South, Cathayan merchants were reported to be suddenly flush with suspiciously Zonasan-tasting food during the normally difficult winter months.

King Galiard of Cathay announced that a statue of the late Duke Alpha Aerinia would be constructed in central Anacan, 'as he was as mighty a foe and friend both as I have ever faced.' Funds for the memorial were drawn both from the Crown and from a collection by a handful of elderly Cathayan merchants who recalled fondly Alpha's time many years ago as Duke of Anacan.

Emperor Velax de Vere of Arcaea challenged Harbinger Cyrus Osha of Aenilia to a duel to the death for the latter's theft of a Crown and Ring belonging to the former, as well as the latter's attempt to blackmail the Emperor with said items. After a long and brutal combat, the duel ended inconclusively, with both duelists too wounded to continue. It was declared a draw.

In the Far East's first capitol sack in some time, the allied armies of the Free People defeated the Zonasan army and garrison in the city of Zonasa after a long and bloody siege in which the capitol's walls were reduced. The Zonasan Regent was wounded in the battle.

The Empire's forces have won a mighty triumph in the Aenilian capital of Idapur. The Aenilian troops crumbled under the pressure of more than 40,000 CS against its walls. The Empire's forces have begun a takeover.

After a long but relatively uneventful takeover, the Empire's armies have taken Idapur, capital of Aenilia. As a result, Aenilia has been crippled, with no cities remaining and only one stronghold.

Idapur is the first capital city to be taken since Arcaea defeated Arcachon.

The Free Nations have taken the walls of Akanos, and Ohnar West is currently running a takeover. Though the Imperial forces consistently field larger armies than the combined forces of the Free Nations, the Imperials have made little use of their numerical superiority, and have only two regions captured, and one driven rogue to show for it, while the Free Nations have taken several more regions and driven even more rogue. Shortly after the assault on Akanos, the Seer Thain Himoura, fleeing the arbitrary "justice" of the Tyrant Velax, pledged his region to Ohnar West, disproving the Arcaean theory of "imperial property".

Cracks appear in the Arcaean Empire, as their regions begin to starve and feel the heat of battle. Sorrainian and Arcaean regions are in open revolt, Akanos lies sacked, and Nocaneb has raised the Dragon Banner of Ohnar West. As the free people push back the imperialistic aggressors, how long before the seat of the Emperor, the infamous Throne of skulls itself, is torn asunder by the axes of the free?

The propaganda emanating from the "Free Realms" reaches fever pitch as their mobile forces are slaughtered mercilessly attempting to defend their hopeless takeover of Akanos. In a glorious victory, the Empire's armies crushed the forces of all four enemy realms, leaving them with less than 2000 CS between them.

The Aenilian Harbinger (Judge) was captured during the battle. The Cathayan High Marshal was also captured as she attempted to flee alone through Arcaean territory.
