I generally pay 25 gold for each +1 of prestige, though the scale isn't linear once it's over +5.
If I'm selling I don't go under 50, whatever the item, and ask 40-50 for each +1 of prestige. Skill boosting items of course are even more pricy
If I can't find a buyer, I just upgrade the weapon until some high up Duke catches an interest.
