Would a dev blog like Tom's for MnF ever be considered to do here? http://forum.mightandfealty.com/index.php/topic,14.msg33.html#new

Well, given that most of the dev stuff lately has been done by me, and that I'm one of the worst people in the world when it comes to self-recording of nearly any kind...

Possible? Yes.

Likely to actually work well? No, not really. Sorry.

I think it could work well. There would be more motivation to do stuff. :P

Are you volunteering to keep it updated?  ;)

Its kinda impossible for him to do a good job of it. Whoever does the work is the generally the only one who can give a good report on the work done, and as he is not the only dev, he can't really do a good job by that. Also, something as simple as what Solari is doing with but with feedback optional of the dev likely best done in a separate thread.

In all honesty, though, if someone bugs me about it, I can usually write a short blurb about what I'm doing at any given time (assuming I'm doing anything).

I actually tried to start something like this a few years ago, as a feature on The TattleMaster on the Wiki, but it sort of died. I forget why.

So something like a daily reminder to do a write up of what you did devwise? I can do that, though I might forget everyone in a while.

I think that someone could get a pretty good idea based on what code is committed?

Other than that, the dev forum is pretty active about talking about what's being worked on, for feedback and code review purposes.

My only concern is that it is not something that should be started if it's going to go idle in a month.  It is a commitment.

Yeah... if the Tattlemaster didn't survive, I doubt a dev blog would do better. :)

It's hard to find the motivation to continue a project for so long without any collaboration...

Man, I had forgotten about that...

Kinda like the Dwilight Daily. Kept on for a while, 'twas fun stuff, but then kinda just died.

Pretty sure I know the general idea of why they all died.

I am not blaming the previous runners of those newspapers in the least for it ending, I just think I know of things that I could do differently to hopefully prevent it ending.

By all means, please do, if you can. I can help set things up, as time permits.
